Paradoxically, the awareness that Artificial Intelligence (AI) can deceive us everywhere and at any time – makes us start to think more suspiciously and critically about any information.
Perhaps we will stop being so easily led by manipulative social engineering, as it has been the case for a long time (although in a more camouflaged way).
Now, being finally fully aware of it – we become more vigilant.
So, the completely unexpected side effect, in the form of reviving the ability to think critically in man, may ultimately be – … downright positive…
AI is not something bad. It is just another new tool, which, like everything else in our history (stone, knife, word, steam engine, computer, nuclear energy), can be used for very different purposes.
It is worth noting that we are not dealing with one (central) Artificial Intelligence, as it was sometimes presented in Science Fiction movies – but with millions of independent (and sometimes dependent on each other and cooperating) Artificial Intelligences…
This is an era of a new challenge for us, which does not necessarily mean a greater threat than anything else that the human mind has created.
However, it requires a faster time of transformation and adaptation.
PS
We have lived to see the times when even reading this text – one can have doubts whether it was written by a feeling and thinking human (?)…
However, I have great and not groundless hope that our last human domain – communication, at the deepest (emotional) level – will remain unthreatened.
